- coconut oil spray
- 1 cup of whole wheat flour
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp of organic butter
- 1/2 cup honey (I use slightly less)
- 3 overripe bananas - mashed
- 2 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
- 2 large egg whites
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup of dark baking chocolate (melted)
- Lightly spray 8x4 baking pan. Place 4-5 small balls of aluminum in crockpot.
- Mix flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl.
- Beat butter and honey. Then add bananas, applesauce, egg whites and extract.
- Add flour mixture and beat on low only until mixed. Pour mixture in pan
- Drop dollops of chocolate on batter and swirl with knife.
- Place pan on top of aluminum balls, cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. (Can be baked in oven at 350 for 50 minutes.)
- Remove and let cool for 30 minutes. Serve 12 slices.
